Born on 13 April 1956 in Palestrina, Guglielmo Fornari is working within Telecom Italia. He practiced field hockey up to the age of 25 years when he abandoned this sport because of the great passion for the mountaineering.

He has climbed in all the mountainous group of Italy: Alpi Giulie, Alpi Carniche, Monte Bianco, Monte Rosa, Cervino and Dolomiti, where he headed more than 200 multi pitches routes. In the Gran Sasso, he climbed the hardest routes and opened some multipitches too (Filo d’Arianna, Colpo Grosso, Riflessi d’Aurora..).

Guadagnolo is the crag near his home,  where he was always trained.
