Mario Bultrini has always been passionate about mountains and set many climbing routes in Abruzzo.
He started climbing taking a course at the the Italian Alpin Club (CAI) and as a teenager, he climbed Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, and trad multi-pitches sixth-grade routes on the Gran Sasso Mount.

He joined the Alpin Rescue and was mountain instructor of the Italian Alpin Club.
For five years he collaborated with one of the most active route setters of the Marsica area (in Abruzzo), inheriting also his passion for the maintenance of the approaches and of the bottom of the routes.
He contributed to setting more than 300 climbing routes on many walls of Abruzzo.

He practices climbing, ski-mountaineering and both summer and winter mountaineering, and loves visiting new climbing spots and discovering virgin rock walls to set new sport climbing routes.
