Lorenzo Santavicca was born in L’Aquila on November  30, 1991. He approached the world of climbing thanks to his mother and his sister, who already practiced this sport for some years, starting his climbing path in the climbing gym “Gollum” of L’Aquila, in May 2005, at the age of 13.

From 2006 to 2009 he climbed at a competitive level participating in regional and national youth bouldering competitions, getting into the mindset and the physical preparation of the athletes.

In 2015 he approached mountain climbing,  following a mountaineering course held by a Mountain Guide.

He is passionate about the whole climbing world, from indoor to outdoor climbing, from bouldering to lead to speed, from the sport climbing multi-pitches to trad climbing.

He often challenges himself to discover new climbing spots. In fact, he not only has set new sport climbing routes but discovered and climbed many blocks near his home country, which is Barisciano (AQ).

In the winter season, he practices alpine skiing and ski mountaineering.

His other passions are music, architecture, and engineering.
