Millepiedi

The crag  Millepiedi is situated in the town of Petrella Liri, three minutes from the houses, but nevertheless, it's very secluded due to the presence of thick vegetation.

The climbing style is very technical, the route level is, thus at weekends it's often occupied by climbing classes; on working days, instead, it's the ideal place to improve your smearing technique.

The cliff is one of the most frequented of the Liri valley, and it's good for families with children.

Near its rightmost routes ("Vincenzo il Drago") there is room to put a tent and a hammock, to better enjoy the spot.

The routes are all well equipped, with close anchors, except for the first two ones, having a rope ring around a tree as a belay.

Approach

FROM ROME:

Take the A24 highway Roma-L’Aquila and exit at Tagliacozzo. Once at Tagliacozzo, follow the signs to Petrella Liri and then to Castellafiume. Just outside the town of Petrella Liri, park your vehicle in a widening on the right side of the road, before the curve to the right.

Da lì seguire a piedi la strada asfaltata che sale in obliquo verso sinistra fino ad incontrare sulla destra il sentiero.

FROM L'AQUILA or PESCARA:
Take the highway to Rome and exit at Avezzano. Then take the freeway toward Capistrello. Exit at Capistrello and follow first the signs to Castellafiume and then the ones to Petrella Liri. Just before the town of Petrella Liri, near the touristic sign “Benvenuti a Petrella Liri” (that is Welcome to Petrella Liri), park in the widening on the left side of the road.
