Description

The walls of Roccamorice arise in the heart of the Majella national park, place of undisputed spiritual and natural interest, given the presence of numerous hermitages. In the 1981 born the first routes in traditional style. From the second half of the eighties, thanks to the work of mountain guide Roberto Rosica, Claudio Sulpizio and others friends, the cliff sees quickly raise their level of difficulty to become one of the most popular places of Abruzzo. Is the decade of the nineties the happier for this site, thanks to the promoting people of the place first of all, Sergio di Renzo and Biase Persico that together with friends have helped to increase significantly the numbers of routes. Today is the biggest climbing site of the Abruzzo country, with around 250 routes of all the difficulties and climbing styles.  

Approach

Prendere la E80/A25 verso Chieti/Pescara, uscita Alanno/Scafa verso Scafa. Svolta a destra su strada statale 5/ss5 seguire le indicazioni per San Valentino/Abbateggio/Roccamorice. Dal paese seguire per Block-House 4km,poi a destra per eremo di S.Spirito 1km e parcheggiare nei pressi di una fontana.
