Finally the topo of the new bouldering area of Bosco Scorace has been published.
Bosco Scorace is located on a wooded highland (a protected area), at about 600 meters above the sea level, between the villages of Ummari and Buseto Palizzolo, in the countryside of Trapani.
It's a jewel of perfect sandstone, with blocks of any shape and size, set in a wood of eucalyptus, oaks, holm oaks and cork oak.
There are lines of all difficulties: both for beginners and for skilled boulderers. Some of these are always a few meters from the ground, while others reach considerable heights.

The holds are really special: both big and small have unique shapes, made of pebbles embedded in the sandstone, so particular and funny (also and often on the easier lines) that they seem fake, whereas they are a real gift from nature!!!
In most cases fall are comfortable and can be easily spotted, so that the dynos strongly characterize the climbing style of Bosco Scorace.
The main area is easily accessible and it's perfect for families who want to spend an afternoon pulling crimps, buckets, pockets, slopers, and hooking the heel on all inclinations, with delicate mantles, even on the top of considerably high blocks.
The presence of the wood and the altitude make this area good for climbing even in summer, for a perfect mix of sea and climbing.

The creation of this area required a huge gardening work. In fact, the blocks were literally swallowed by the vegetation.
In 2016, I moved to Ummari from the province of Varese with Giorgia Borsani, and together we started gardening the most evident blocks. Then some local climbers (Giuseppe Ruggirello and Ivan Savoi) have joined us, and later also some others from all over Italy and particularly from Lombardia Emanuele Vigani, Alessandro Pagani and many others). And so now there is a bouldering area with almost 200 lines for all taste and of all difficulties.
And that's not all: we are setting many other new lines on new blocks in the neighboring zones, and also many other novelties.
