Missing a few days from the Adventure Outdoor Fest, which will take place from 25rd to 28th July in Piani di Pezzè (Alleghe) and surroundings.
Climbing, Slackline, Climbing routes (Via ferrata), Mountain Bike, Yoga, Trekking, Mountain running, Music, Movies, Wellness and much more in the heart of Dolomites.
The Adventure Outdoor Fest is bac. This event, dedicated to the enthusiast of outdoor, of mountain, adventure, and inner wellbeing.
The festival, now in its 7th year, confirms all the events that made it an unmissable event for the outdoor sports lovers: the trekking in the green surroundings, the Mountain Biking, the Bushcratfting in the wood, and many climbing experiences, from the entry-level to the more adventurous challenges.
There are many novelties, compared to the previous editions. One is the location, that, in collaboration with the Dolomites Maadness project, will be in Rocca Pietore, Alleghe, Cencenighe, Colle Santa Lucia, Livinallongo del Col di Lana, San Tomaso Agordino and Taibon Agordino.
The brand new "headquarter of the village" will be, from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 Piani
di Pezzé (Alleghe), a natural amphitheater at 1470 meters above the sea level, overlooking the North-West wall of the Mountain Civetta, whereas the official opening will be on Thursday 25, at 18:00 in Rocca Pietore (BL), with a drink in the square, followed by the Al & Jay concert: funky, reggae and blues atmospheres accompanying the AcroYoga and Hula Hoop exhibitions.
Starting at 21:00, at the near El Teaz hall, will be inaugurated also the prestigious Adventure Movie Awards, the spearhead of the Festival, which will offer some of the best productions of the year dedicated to nature, adventure and exploring, with a special focus on the environment.
A jury of experts, composed of journalists, photographer, filmmakers, explorers, will judge the 18 competition films and will award the Grivel Golden Axe Award, the Dolomites Green Award, and the Best Photography Award. The screenings will take place every night during the Festival, and it will be possible to meet some of the protagonists and directors, as the American Patrick J. Lynch, the Chilean anthropologist and kayaker Jens Benöhr and the Chileans activist Raimundo Gomez Vergara.
The meetings with the international guests, filmmakers, and athletes are just the first moments of a series; in fact among the guests will be present also the climber Angelika Rainer,the special runner Moreno Pesce, the ultrarunner and yoga teacher Tite Togni, the team Dolomitici! headed by Dario Ganz and many other important figures that, presenting books, telling travel stories and holding debates will recount their adventure and their emotions.
Another important novelty of the Adventure Outdoor Fest 2019 will be the first edition of the Dolomiti Green Trail, a mountain running race which will take place on Sunday 27 July, departing from Piani di Pezzè and arrival to the same place.
The competition will be on two spectacular trail ring courses, one 27 km in length and 1900 D+ and the other 14km length and 900 D+, which may be done also walking in the company of the Grivel athlete Moreno Pesce.
Upon the arrival, we will have the concert of the Tirataie to celebrate all the athletes, that, signing up themselves to the race, will have contributed to the reestablishment of wood, together with WowNature. Furthermore, the finisher medals will be made from the wood of the branches fallen during the terrible storm of October 2018.
The themes of environment, nature, and ecology will be focused during all the Festival, also to keep alive the interest in this precious territory, so damaged by the recent exceptional climatic events. That's why many meeting to be aware of our forests and understanding how safeguarding our ecosystem are scheduled: starting from the event involving Banca Etica, with the president Mrs. Anna Fasano and the meteorologist Luca Lambroso, the meetings with the guys of Adotta un Sentiero and the storytelling of the onlus Giant Trees Foundation.
There will be also many appointments dedicated to yoga practices, starting from the Yoga & Balance Meeting #rechargeinnature: three days, from 26th to 28th July, to reconnect with nature and to restore, thanks to it, balance and harmony in body and soul.
There will be a wide choice of events dedicated to the inner balance, which will include yoga, acroyoga, meditation, slackline, weightlessness, forest bathing, mandala laboratories, mindfulness, Hula Hoop and aerial silk.
A really special event will be the Yoga awakening at more than3.000 meters of altitude, on the top of the Marmolada followed by a breakfast and a visit to the Museum of the Big World War (that is the first one), planned for Saturday and Sunday morning in collaboration with the Ski-Lifts Marmolada Move to the Top.
For this occasion, a Holistic Village will be established. In this Village will it be possible to live the atmosphere created by the universal sound of the Tibetan bells or to enjoy personal treatments Zen, Shiatsu, plantar reflexology and with the method of Ilan Lev. Furthermore, a special moment will join the proprietà del vino and the practice of yoga, through tasting some excellence labels of the winery L’Antica Quercia.
As always, special attention will be dedicated to children, with a lot of activities dedicated entirely to them, and, for music lovers, on Friday 26 July, at sunset, there will be the unmissable concert of The Leading Guy: it will be the only summer of this artist, before his tour in Autumn, to be enjoyed watching the magic of the sunset on the Mountain Civetta wall.
In the evenings of Friday and Saturday, the free ski lifts from Piani di Pezzè to Alleghe opening is planned, in collaboration with Alleghe Funivie.
