Favignana, in the province of Trapani, is the largest island of the Egadi archipelago, in front of the city of Trapani. It's famous for its pristine beaches, for its beautiful sea caves and for its crystal-clear sea.
Here are two of its beaches, in a video shot by Turi Poma: Cala Azzurra, with its the fine golden sand, and Cala Rossa, with its rocks.
But Favignana doesn't offer only beaches: you can visit castles, churches, archeological sites, the "Grotta della Stele" (="Cave of the Stele"), the "Grotta del Pozzo" (="Cave of the well"), the Caves of Ficarra II e II, the "Grotta dello Stemma" (="Caver of the Crest"), and the abandoned tuff quarries.

Favignana is the largest island of the archipelago of Egadi, in the province of Trapani, from which is distant about 15 Km.
It can be reached by ferry from Trapani (with the possibility of ferrying your car), or by hydrofoil both from Trapani and from Napoli or Marsala (it's advisable to book in advance).
Once landed on the island, you can rent bicycles, electric bicycles, scooters, cars or boats to going around the island (that is almost 9 Km long and 4 Km wide).
In Favignana there are beaches to suit all tastes: sandy beaches, pebble beaches, caves, cliffs for diving, rocks, bays for snorkeling.
